DANNY SESSUMS has been a historian, educator and museum professional for most of his career. Completing his undergraduate work at Texas Tech University in anthropology, he later received his master's degree at the University of Texas at Arlington.
A Force to be Reckoned With is a culmination of the research that he began for his doctoral dissertation at Louisiana State University and continued for over thirty years. Sessums has also been an avid living Civil War historian, studying the lifestyle and experience of the "common soldier" during the War Between the States.
In 2009, Danny retired from Houston Baptist University and today, he and his wife reside in East Texas.

OLIVIA HARDIN always realized how strange she was to have complete movie-like character dreams as a child. Eventually, she began putting those vivid dreams to paper and was rarely without her spiral notebooks full of those mental ramblings. Her forgotten vision of becoming an author was realized when she connected with a group of amazingly talented and fabulous writers who gave her lots of direction and encouragement. With a little extra push from family and friends, she hunkered down to get lost in the words.
She’s also an insatiable crafter who only completes about 1 out of 5 projects, a jogger who hates to run, and is sometimes accused of being artistic, though she’s generally too much of a perfectionist to appreciate her own work. A native Texas girl, Olivia lives in the beautiful Lone Star state with her husband, Danny, and their furbabies Bonnie Sue and Heidi Ho!

C.H. SESSUMS is a pen name for USA Today Bestselling Author Olivia Hardin. While Olivia writes all manner of romance, C.H. scribbles out cozy mysteries set in her beloved state of Texas. Whether exploring urban legends from all over the lone star state or solving capers set in far off times, mystery meets history in all of her stories.
In real life, C.H. lives in gorgeous East Texas with her hubby and their two rescue dogs. Every weekend all four of them pile up into their bunkhouse to watch classic movies and listen to old-time radio.
